Dear Round Mountain Families,
The safety and well-being of our students is always our highest priority. I am writing to inform you of a medical incident that occurred on our playground this afternoon.
One of our students experienced an accidental fall from the playground bars and hit her head. Our staff immediately responded and assessed the student. Although the student remained conscious, we contacted 911 out of an abundance of caution to ensure a full medical evaluation could be conducted.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are currently on campus checking on the student, and the student's parents are present and by their child's side.
Please be assured that this was an isolated accident, and all other students are safe. The school day is continuing normally, and no school-wide safety protocol was necessary or implemented. We understand that seeing an emergency vehicle at school can be alarming, but rest assured that our quick response ensured the student received immediate professional care.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Thad Wind
Principal
